The Clan Lamont Society Governing Council is delighted to announce that the Society is now registered as a charity and now will be called Clan Lamont Society Trust.
As the official Clan Lamont Society, with its home base and headquarters at The Manse Inverchaolain, near Dunoon, the Society is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) representing the interests, legacy, and history of Clan Lamont.

For more than 130 years, the Clan Lamont Society in Scotland has collected, preserved, protected, and shared Clan Lamont heritage worldwide.
Following sustained work and commitment, we look forward to developing new projects, historical research, partnerships, and further opportunities to promote and protect Clan Lamont heritage.
We are grateful for the support received throughout this application process, and we recognise this milestone as an achievement shared by all who have contributed to the Society’s work.
The Manse
The Clan Lamont Society Headquarters is located at The Manse in Inverchaolain, near Dunoon on the east shore of Loch Striven in Cowal, Scotland. Nestled within our ancestral heartlands, this historic residence serves as a dedicated space for Society business and the safekeeping of our Clan’s archival history.
